1. Cut a rectangular piece of cardboard in the size desired.

2. Wrap the ribbon vertically around the cardboard with the wrong side of the ribbon facing up, creating vertical rows of ribbon (figure A). Leave a strip of cardboard on either side of the wrapped section. Pin to hold.

3. Place a piece of double-sided tape onto the cardboard on either side of the wrapped ribbon.

4. Weave pieces of ribbon in another color horizontally through the vertically- wrapped ribbon using an "over-under" method (figure B). Press the ends of the ribbon against the double-sided tape to hold in place.

5. Place a piece of pellon over the woven section of ribbon and iron over it for ten seconds (figure C).

6. Draw a desired shape for the pin onto the pellon (figure D) and cut around it.

7. Remove the woven ribbon from the cardboard and sew it right-side-down to a piece of fabric backing, leaving a small opening.

8. Turn the pin right-side-out, stuff it and sew the opening closed.

9. Glue on a pin back.
