The Carol Duvall Show cameras visit glass artist PJ Sweeney to focus on her handmade glass jewelry. Sweeney has always been interested in art and studied fiber art in college. But after taking one stained glass class, her fate was sealed. She's been working with glass ever since.

One of Sweeney's specialties is the bangle bracelets she makes with dichroic glass, produced using metallic films applied and attached directly to the glass. The bracelets have a shimmery, metallic look.

To make the bracelets, Sweeney cuts measured sections off these sheets (three for each bracelet) and lines them up one on top of the other. Then she fuses them together to make one piece. After cooling very slowly, the pieces are put into a different kiln, which holds a mold onto which the piece melts. When the piece is almost completely melted, Sweeney pulls it out (wearing safety equipment) and forms the ends, shaping it into a bracelet.
