Featured Items: Tiffany lamp and vase
Details: Collectors recognize this lampshade style as a pine-needle design, which means it has a pierced bronze overlay on an amber glass liner. The marking on the bottom confirms its Tiffany status and dates it circa 1900. It is made of bronze with an applied patina finish. Standing 10 inches tall, it's not the biggest or most elaborate of Tiffany's works, so what makes this lamp so special? It's the five miniature bud vases--each made in a different design and holding tiny glass vials that can be filled with fresh flowers--that make this one so unique. This flowering rarity is priced at $8,500.
There's also a rare Tiffany cameo glass vase that measures about 18 inches tall from circa 1900. Since most Tiffany vases are iridescent, the unusual style makes this piece very valuable. To create the cameo effect the original shape of the vase was formed first, then the purple and green molten glass were added. Hand tools and a spinning wheel were used to carve the design. This particular vase was carved from top to bottom, so the detail is very intricate. Also desirable is the Tiffany name and the number on the bottom of the vase. This vase is valued at $30,000.
