Organization expert Bernard Gaddis shows how easy it is to add personality and style to home decor with collectibles.

  • A spice rack can be used to add levels of height to a collectibles display (figure A) as well as save space. Try grouping candles or perfume bottles (figure B) on the rack.

  • Framed stamp or coin collections can be hung from a door (figure C), using an over-the-door hanger, chain links and S-hooks.

  • Scarves can be draped over furniture or lamps.

  • If a favorite scarf is damaged, try framing it (figure D).

  • Group together unmatched vases for a striking display (figure E). Various sizes, height and color add interest.

  • Hang hats over doorways on nails or hooks.

  • Plates can also be hung over doorways.

  • Stack boxes and arrange collectibles on them (figure F) for a striking display.
