  • two leather-bound books containing the works of Shakespeare--the smaller one going for $95, the larger for $300.
  • a book that has gone through the process of gauffering so that when closed, its pages have a gold color and embossed pattern on the edges; the set of five volumes goes for $2,000.
  • Published in 1807, Sheppard shows a book with gold gilding on its binding and marbleized edges. The full set of eight volumes is valued at $2,800.
  • His booth features collectible bronzes in all shapes and sizes, selling for between $500 and $600.
  • Another way to enhance a study or an office is with great lighting. Sheppard has several Lucerna whale oil lamps used in the 18th and 19th centuries that have been converted to electric and range in price from $700 to $900.
  • Writing accessories are another office essential featured here. One of Sheppard's specialties is inkwell collecting. He shows a very rare triple snail (holding red, blue and black ink) that came from early 19th-century France and is valued at $1,500. A Tiffany standish used to heat the sealing wax after the letter had been written is valued at $3,500.
  • Last but not least, Sheppard says its important to have some whimsical items in your office as well--and shows a brass paper stand and a love thermometer.
