In Long Beach, Calif., meet antique telephone expert Dan Golden, who has amassed one of the largest telephone collections in the country. See some of his phones for sale such as candlestick phones from the 1890s, art-deco phones from the 1920s and some more modern phones that are becoming a hot commodity.

This art-deco telephone from the 1920s has a wooden handle, metal base and a braided cord. It must have been used as an extension phone because it has no dialing mechanism. It's worth about $250.

Character phones such as this Winnie the Pooh one such are a favorite among many collectors. This is one of the most expensive at $265.

The "Garbo" phone is dated from 1928. Telephones were commonly named after movie stars who used the phones in their movies. This one sells for $245.

These box-unit wall phones can go for as much as $800 a piece if it has its original parts. A phone such as this without original parts can be worth much less and may even be a reproduction.
