Who are Murrie and Mars, you ask? M&M of course. "M" is the only letter in the alphabet that exists to Ginny Wolfe, a major M&M candies collector for more than 10 years. She has amassed thousands of items that have completely taken over her family room. Now we all know that M&Ms are colorful and melt in your mouth—not in your hands. Here are quick tips for starting your own M&M collection.

  • A complete set of World Cup toppers can be worth up to $6,000.
  • Look for brown M&M character toys. These are more valuable than the common colors.
  • M&M candy boxes from the 1950s can fetch between $50 and $100. Look for "Food Manufacturers, Inc." printed on the label.
