Beaded baskets like the ones pictured here were handmade in the 1960s and '70s, constructed entirely of various colored glass beads and safety pins. These flea market finds are now considered American folk art. Prices range from $25 to $175 at many markets. The more valuable baskets are often made of a variety of beads and shiny versus tarnished safety pins. Seek out these beaded bargains for less than $10 at local garage sales and flea markets.
