Robin Porter, Curriculum Developer
Cable in the Classroom lesson designer Robin Porter has been in the field of education for more than 20 years. She began her career as a middle school language arts teacher in Pennsylvania and Maryand. After nearly a decade in the classroom, Robin moved on to USA TODAY's education department where she headed up product and curriculum development, teacher training and partnerships for the newspaper's in-school education program. In 1999, Robin launched Porter Education Group, a company that specializes in the development, design and management of products for teachers, students and parents. In addition to her work for Scripps Networks, Robin has developed web-based and print products for the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), The Discovery Channel, The Disney Channel, The Franklin Institute, the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), National Geographic, Newsweek, The Philadelphia Inquirer and USA Today among others.
