To demonstrate their colorful design skills, each finalist will be assigned a new condominium unit where they must create a living room design. The design must feature a bold color scheme that will appeal to prospective home buyers. Reigning HGTV Design Star winner Meg Caswell will join Genevieve Gorder and Vern Yip to evaluate the spaces and select the best design. For the on-camera hosting challenge, the finalists will appear on CBS's nationally syndicated show, The Talk, to deliver color design tips alongside show hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood.
