Valentine's Day Kids' Craft: White-Chocolate-Dipped Fortune Cookies

Delight your valentine with white-chocolate-dipped fortune cookies in a crafty (and cute!) Chinese takeout box. Basic cooking skills and craft supplies are all you need, making this a great Valentine's Day craft project for kids.

Mark Holes for Arrow

Lay chopstick across heart at an angle then mark where it will enter and exit (Image 1 and 2). Using scissors, make small slits at marks.

Assemble Heart and Arrow

Slide chopstick through holes in felt heart then glue together the arrow's double-sided tip and tail using a thick layer of felt glue or Aleene's Tacky Glue. Note: Because felt is so porous, regular craft glue simply soaks in and doesn't create a bond when gluing felt to felt. Tacky Glue, some fabric glues and felt glue are your best bets. Set aside and allow glue to thorougly dry which can take a few hours; you can speed up this process by placing the heart in a slightly warm oven.

Attach Heart to Takeout Box

Brush glue onto the backside of heart and place on takeout box. While gluing felt to felt requires a long dry time, the glue will set up quickly when attaching felt to cardboard. Finally, fill the box with dipped fortune cookies and give your valentine a sweet surprise.
