Trash-to-treasure and style expert Robb Whittlef shares some great ideas for vintage wedding cake toppers.
Gift Box
Create a great wedding gift box by embellishing three stackable boxes with flowers, beads and a vintage cake topper. Spray the boxes a cream color, add different-sized beads with hot glue and embellish with more bridal-themed accessories.
Memo Board
Create a wedding memo board out of a vintage door frame and corkboard and use an old cake topper to embellish it. Use it to plan your wedding or keep it up year-round as a reminder of your special day. Pair an old door header with a bulletin board, trim it out with lumber and paint white. Add letters at the top to spell "Our Wedding" or add numbers to state the date.
Shadow Box
Here's a more modern take on wedding cake toppers. Take a digital picture of your cake topper (and your parents' for variety); enlarge the images and print out multiple copies. Cut and paste the images to the back of a shadow box. Place the original cake toppers and a few silk flowers inside.
