Step 4: Sew Pillow Back
Stitch hems on 21" x 14" pieces and remove pins. Place pillow front right-side-up on work surface and position both back pieces right-side-down with hemmed edges overlapping in center. Pin into place around pillow perimeter.
Make sure ruffled trim is inside pillow at this step. Sew around pillow perimeter. Remove pins and turn pillow right-side-out.
Step 5: Sew Ribbon Ties
Turn pillowcase right-side-out. Cut six pieces of coordinating ribbon eight inches long. Pin ribbon on inside of outer flap and outside of lower flap, so two ribbons line up to tie together. One tie should be in the center with one spaced above and one below. Use sewing machine to attach ribbon to pillowcase. Sew a square with an “x” inside to securely attach each ribbon. Trim all excess threads. Apply no-fray glue to ribbon ends, if desired.
Insert pillow form.
