- any frame (either new or replace the art in one you already own)
- a piece of poster board cut to fit in the frame
- 3 rolls of ribbon
- glue gun
Choose Your Ribbon
This project needs three rolls of coordinating ribbon but use any color combo that matches your holiday décor. Consider using ribbons in different widths or design effects.
Measure Your Tree Branches
Start by cutting the ribbon for the bottom layer of the tree and work to the top. Lay the ribbons out horizontally across the poster board spacing them about an inch apart.
Glue in Place
Stack each ribbon on top of the next with the longest on the bottom. You don’t have to measure the lengths exactly, but make sure the angles were cut closely and lined up on the edges of the tree all the way up.
Be sure to cut and lay out all of the ribbons before gluing any of them in place. Once you have it laid out the way you like it, use a hot glue gun and glue each piece a few times across the entire length.
Place your tree inside the frame and display.
