Materials Needed:

• holiday cards in assorted colors and patterns
• decorative-edge craft scissors
• standard scissors
• pen or marker

• ribbon or twine
• hot glue gun and glue sticks
• round objects in various sizes to use as templates

Trace Circles and Cut Out

Using a cup, plate or coin as a template, trace various-size circles onto holiday cards (Image 1). Cut out circles using standard scissors for a clean edge or decorative-edge scissors for added visual interest (Image 2).

Attach Circle Cut-Outs With Hot Glue

Unroll a section of twine along a flat, level surface. Use hot glue to attach twine to the back of a circle cut-out (Image 1). Add more hot glue to the twine then top with a second circle, face up, that's the same size as the first (Image 2). Press tightly until both circles have firmly adhered to the twine (Image 3). Continue attaching cut-outs to the twine until you're satisfied with the length of the garland.

Hang Garland

Drape garland around your tree, turning the card circles so the most colorful side is visible.
