Cream rub-ons can create the illusion of depth by way of a shadowing effect. The following project involves carrot die-cuts, but the principle applies to any subject that's normally three-dimensional.
Materials and Tools:
carrot and stem die-cuts
adhesive
metallic rub-on cream (copper)
black Slick Writer pen
1. Color the edges of the carrots with copper rub-on color.
2. Let the color dry for about five minutes.
3. Using the Slick Writer, add lines near the edges, and add lines and dots elsewhere for character.
4. Adhere the stems to the carrots.
