Measure and Cut Cream Felt
Using a ruler or yardstick, measure and mark fabric to the size of pillow form plus a 1/2-inch seam allowance on all sides. For a 10" x 20" pillow, cut two pieces of cream felt that measure 11" x 21" each.
Cut Leaves and Petals
Print template onto an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of card stock. Cut out leaves and petals. Pin leaf template to green fabric and cut the desired amount of leaves. Repeat this step with all three sizes of petals on red fabric.
Glue Leaves and Petals
Apply fabric glue to the back of each leaf and stick it to the cream felt in the desired position (Images 1 and 2). Starting with the largest petals, apply fabric glue to the base and tip of each petal (Image 3). Stick the base of the petal in the center of the poinsettia, gently fold up and stick tip of petal to pillow, allowing it to arch slightly (Image 4). Repeat with the other large petals. Layer medium-sized petals on top of the largest ones, with glue only applied to base. Use this same process with the smallest petals (Image 5).
