Celebrate fall with this whimsical set of miniature dolls. Your children will spend hours playing with these adorable fall friends while you work in the garden.

Materials Needed:

  • wooden clothespins
  • acrylic paint or markers
  • paintbrush
  • scissors
  • X-Acto knife
  • hot glue gun
  • other decorative items (silk leaves, sphagnum moss, acorn tops, yarn, felt)

Paint Faces

Add faces to the tops of the clothespins using markers or acrylic paints. Allow them to dry completely.

Dress Up

Besides being easy to make, leaf people are completely customizable. The possibilities are endless: Try using silk leaves and Styrofoam gourds to make clothes, yarn and felt for hair, and colorful beads or acorns to create hats and other accents.

Always supervise children using the hot glue gun.

Ready for Play

Once the dolls are dry, they're ready for playtime in the garden.
