Materials and Tools:
adhesive
orange colored pencil
cotton swab
white, pink and lavender paper
vellum
chalk applicator
chalking pencils in violet, pastel blue, pastel pink and grass green
Steps:
1. On white paper, draw the outline of a pansy with pink or blue chalk pencil.
2. Smudge the outline with the chalk applicator, pulling the color in about ¼-inch toward the center of the flower.
3. Color a small oval in the center of the flower with an orange colored pencil.
4. Add center lines with a purple colored chalk pencil, and then smudge them with a cotton swab.
5. Fill the remaining white area with pink or blue chalk pencil by scribbling lines close together. Smudge the lines to soften.
6. Cut out the pansy, allowing a 1/8-inch border around the chalked lines.
