How to Make a Tassel Camera Strap

- 1 yard cotton webbing
- craft paint
- paint brushes
- painter's tape
- 2 swivel hooks
- strong glue
- sewing machine
- needle and thread
Paint the Strap
Use painter's tape to mask off a design on the strap (image 1), and fill in the blank areas with craft paint (image 2). Remove the tape while the paint is still slightly wet for the cleanest lines, and allow the strap to dry thoroughly.
Cut the Leather
Cut 1x3-inch and 1x1/4-inch strips of leather.
Make the Tassels
Fold the tiny strip in half, and glue the ends together (image 1). Fringe one long end of the larger leather piece (image 2). Spread a thin layer of glue along the unfringed edge of the large piece, and place the loop at one end (image 3). Begin to roll the fringed leather around the loop tightly, rolling until it is complete. Be sure the end is securely glued (image 4). Repeat steps to make multiple tassels.
