Materials Needed:

• silver origami paper
• 3-5 colors origami paper
• sequin trim in 3-5 coordinating colors
• small Styrofoam balls
• multicolored jumbo sequins

• dressmaker's pins
• monofilament
• scissors
• sewing needle

Create Sequined Balls

Start by creating the sequined balls that will hang on the bottom of the garland. Attach one end of the sequin trim pieces to a Styrofoam ball with a pin. Start wrapping the sequin trim around the Styrofoam ball. Place a dressmaker's pin through a sequin into the ball every few sequins.

Keep wrapping and pinning until the whole ball is covered. Place a final pin at the bottom of the ball and cut off the extra trim.

Tip: You will need one sequined ball for each garland.

Fold the Paper Snowflakes

Fold a sheet of paper into a triangle. Then, fold that triangle into a smaller triangle. Fold each side point into the middle. Cut off the points. You now have a triangle-shaped piece that’s ready to fashion into a snowflake.

Cut the Paper Snowflakes

Cut different shapes from the sides of the folded triangle piece. Tip: Be creative! Like real snowflakes, every one should be a little bit different.

Unfold the snowflake, admire your handiwork and smooth the snowflake to flatten.
