Metallic Ribbon Wreath Kristin Guy

Materials Needed:

  • a variety of ribbon
  • 1/4"x10' copper soft-type refrigeration coil (at local hardware store)
  • faux plastic twigs with berries
  • copper spray paint
  • scissors

Create Wreath Shape

Leave the copper coil in its original packaged shape, and gently pull on individual loops to slightly stretch the shape of the coil. Make sure to leave gaps for ribbon lacing on one side.

Wrap Ribbon

Start at the lower center of the copper wreath shape, and take two pieces of ribbon approximately 2 1/2 feet each in length. Lace between each ring, and cross over and under from the outside of the wreath to the center (images 1 and 2).

Continue Wrapping Ribbon

Once you reach the center of the wreath, repeat steps and zigzag back and forth until approximately half of wreath is laced with ribbon. Secure the two loose ends with tight knots on the backside of wreath.
