Step 4

Glue new screens—we used custom PVC panels—to the inside of the doors with wood glue. Screw new knobs on the doors, and reattach the lid and crank.

Step 5

Drill a hole in the back of the cabinet to accommodate the cord of a new record player—we used the Ion Audio ILP digital conversion turntable for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad ($100, ionaudio.com). Set it in the cabinet where the old record player used to be.
