- wood cleaner, such as Murphy Oil Soap
- removable vinyl decals
- painter's tape
- straight edge (like an old credit card)
- utility knife
- medium-grit sandpaper
- latex paint
- water-based sealer
Unscrew any drawer pulls or knobs and set aside. Wipe down the stand with the cloth and cleaner.
Position the removable decal on the front; secure with a piece of painter’s tape at the top. We used Affordable Vinyl Graphics flower embellishment (from $4 each, mywalldecals.com). Apply the decal according to the instructions, running a straight edge over it to eliminate air bubbles. Use a utility knife to slice through any of the decal that spans across more than one drawer.
Lightly sand all the wood around the decal, then wipe it down with a cloth. If you want the stand’s legs to remain unpainted, like ours, tape them off.
Create your own coasters and print professional images using a Gocco printer.
Add a touch of nature to your walls by framing botanicals. Follow these step-by-step instructions.
Turn basic household items into simple stamps, then get the kids and create your own custom-stamped towels and napkins.(9 photos)
