  • paint
  • foam
  • fabric
  • piping
  • staple gun

Step 1

Paint the chair and let dry.

Step 2

Make a cushion, or have an upholsterer do it for you. Ours is 3 1/2-inch-thick high-density foam covered in cotton with linen piping.
