Materials Needed:

  • dark gray eye shadow
  • black eyeliner
  • white face paint
  • black face paint or liquid eyeliner
  • lip balm
  • craft brushes
  • plastic spiders
  • liquid latex

Create Spider Eyes

Using an eye shadow brush, apply dark gray eye shadow to the eyelids. Use a black eyeliner pencil to create an exaggerated brow above just one eye (Image 1). For a scarier spider look, use a black eyeliner pencil to line the bottom of the eyelids (Image 2).

Make a Spider-Web Eye

On the other eye, create a spider web. Using white face paint and a thin craft brush, start just above the crease in the eyelid and draw lines up and outward (Image 1). Connect them with one line that dips down between each point (Image 2). To give the web more dimension, use black face paint or liquid black eyeliner to outline different parts of the web. Pick a few areas to accent and follow just outside the white line (Image 3).

Draw Spider Lips

For the lips, add some lip balm first so the lips don't dry out. Use a black eyeliner to line the lips, then fill them in completely (Image 1). Use your finger to blend the color, if needed.

Add Spider Accents

To make your spider extra creepy, add several plastic spiders to the face in any size or shape. Liquid latex will keep them attached all night (Image 1). Note: Be sure to test for any allergies first. Add as many spiders as you want for a spine-tingling effect (Image 2).

Complete the Costume

Finish off the look with a black sweat suit covered with store-bought spider webs or a full spider costume (Image 1).
