Designer Silvia Dotto of Vancouver, Canada, demonstrates how to make an easy flower pin out of fabric remnants and beads.
Materials Needed:
- fabric remnants
- scissors
- pencil
- scrap paper
- different size paper flower patterns
- needle
- embroidery strands
- large safety pin
- beads
- wire
- wire cutters
Steps 1 and 2
Make three different paper flower petal patterns in assorted diameters and petal shapes.
Trace the patterns on the fabric remnants using a mix of patterns per color of fabric. Make a total of eight flower petals in three different colors.
Steps 3 and 4
Cut out the flowers and stack by size, color and shape.
Stack the petals and hold them together with your fingers.
