Wreath designer Judy Nelson of Herbal Creations shows how to make a wreath with fresh herbs. Hang the finished, fragrant product in your kitchen, or give it as a gift.
Materials:
straw wreath base or other type and shape of choice
fresh rosemary sprigs, cut to 6 or 8 inches in length
scissors
floral wire
hot-glue gun
any of the following to add color: cranberries, pepper berries, dried peppers, edible flowers (dried with silica gel to retain color)
Steps:
1. Bunch together several sprigs of rosemary and attach them together with floral wire. (The sprigs should all be facing the same direction.)
2. Wrap the bunches around the wreath base with floral wire. Continue wrapping around the wreath until the entire wreath is covered with rosemary.
3. Attach cranberries or other colorful herbs of your choice to the rosemary with a hot-glue gun. Let dry.
