The homeowner, has purchased her first house, and she is eager to create a yard that she can enjoy. Her father is a fan of Japanese artwork and culture, and she inherited his passion. She wants to reflect her interests in her yard. Host Joe Washington introduces landscape designer Todd Guilmette of Unique Environmental Concepts. Guilmette has developed a plan that will offer a beautiful, tranquil environment for the homeowner's backyard, which includes a gravel pathway connecting the deck to the water feature. At the top of a slope, the water feature will empty into a seven-foot waterfall. Bridges, boulders, Japanese lanterns, Japanese fish pots and a decorative bench will enhance the design. We see the installation of the waterfall, ponds, stone steps, retaining walls, plantings in the backyard garden and front yard and the release of fish into the pond.
