New Gardens

The homeowners want a dream yard to go with their new dream home. Instead of going with a typical, basic new home landscaping package, they are looking for something a little more dynamic. Landscape architect John Barry has a design for their landscaping. The home is constructed with brick and stone, and he installs a new driveway with adjoining walkways constructed out of similar bricks and stones. A new motor court allows for ample parking. The backyard is small and set on a bluff surrounded by trees. Barry installs a new pool that wraps around part of the house. New trees are planted to replace the ones that had to be taken out because of the new construction. The deck of the pool is made out of colored, scored concrete and joined to the house by a wrought iron staircase. The staircase leads to a new deck off the house. A perennial garden and dramatic plantings finish out this project.
