The homeowners love their house in an older neighborhood; the yard is overgrown, though, and filled with trash, weeds and brush. Landscape designer Marcia Weber of Gardens to Love has a plan to restore the yard. The design calls for a new fence in the backyard and lots of perennials. Part of the patio in the back is demolished, and a ginkgo tree accents the area. Workers install a bluestone path, which leads to an attractive bluestone driveway in front of the garage. Hemlocks help screen the back of the lawn, which softens the look of the chainlink fence. A variety of plants such as azaleas and hydrangeas fill the yard.
