About the Landing:
Hand-scraped maple flooring, installed throughout the home, is utilized in the construction of the staircase, which boasts a contemporary-style, nearly transparent iron railing system. The staircase carves out nooks that provided interior designer Linda Woodrum with yet other opportunities to showcase decorative artwork – an antique-style bureau serves as the perfect prop for art glass, the bare wall is a canvas for massive painting and a woven metal screen, displayed atop a pod shelf, adds interest in the loft area.
