An extension of the home's living room, the kitchen commands attention from the front door. A shimmering mosaic tile backsplash is paired with dark wood cabinetry and stainless steel fixtures, lending an air of industrial-chic elegance. An oversized kitchen island topped with quartz is surrounded by a series of sleek, adjustable acrylic and steel barstools. "They were chosen because they are clear and seem to disappear," says interior designer Linda Woodrum. "We didn't want a lot of clutter in front of the counter."
