About the "Do" Room: When brainstorming with house planner Jack Thomasson and builder David Steinke about the home's bonus space, interior designer Linda Woodrum put herself in the shoes of HGTV Green Home's new owner. "I remember having young children and living in a house with the laundry upstairs by the bedroom. And it drove me nuts because I spent a lot of time in the kitchen with the kids doing homework. I wanted the laundry near the kitchen." Thus evolved a space equipped with work cubicles separated by task (craft projects, business, gift-wrapping and laundry) and a cozy sitting area designed for reading or relaxation.
