For the dining room, designer Linda Woodrum utilized a subdued color palette with green accents, recessed lighting, framed nature photography and antique furnishings to create a casual and relaxed feel.
Linda chose two larger chairs at the dining room table for their comfort, making them a good choice for seating during longer projects like homework or filing taxes. They are slipcovered in eco-friendly hemp. "If you wanted, you could order the chairs upholstered in one fabric, and get a slipcover made to change it out seasonally," Linda says.
The carpet under the table is recycled nylon. Its subtle texture and color add to the neutral color palette and the home's soothing feel.
