A small yet coastal-chic powder room – within easy distance of the kitchen, dining room and screened porch – echoes the tropical palette of the master suite.

Brown glass mosaic tile was chosen for both the shower stall and sink backsplash, and sky-blue walls inject the space with a needed tropical punch. The sand-colored CaesarStone quartz countertop and espresso-colored cabinetry let accessories and fixtures stand out, namely a round split-bamboo mirror, a potted Phalaenopsis orchid, and Kohler lavatory-style polished chrome faucet and cast-iron lavatory-style “wading pool” sink.
Bringing the outdoors inside, a tubular skylight provides enough natural light to illuminate the space even on gray days. Watercolor prints of Mayaguana and New Providence Island lend an air of the islands to the compact hall bath and seem the only artwork necessary to liven up the otherwise unadorned walls.
“I love the brown glass tile with the contemporary plumbing fixtures,” says Woodrum. “And also the way the bath connects with the hall and the outside porch, and is also the powder room. It’s such a great way to efficiently use space in a home.”
