There are two kinds of ornamental peppers: the large, fleshy kind for roasting or using raw in salads, and the thinner, hotter kind for Asian cooking. Both are available in a wide color range. Sow seed in late winter, and grow in a sunny, sheltered site.

Spread: 12 inches
Hardiness: Tender plants that do not tolerate any degree of frost
Soil Preference: Well-drained soil, moist soil
Sun or Shade: Full sun
