Man on a Mission

Fourth generation nurseryman Don Shadow is bent on preserving both rare plants and animals on his Tennessee farm. Like his father before him, Shadow goes all over the world looking for worthy plants to introduce to American gardeners. In addition to rows of rare shrubs and trees he's propagating, he is also raising exotic animals, including two kinds of camels, almost extinct donkeys, tapirs form South America and hybrids like the zonkey (a cross between a zebra and a donkey).
