In Evergreen, Colorado, sculptor Glenn Vogel and his family have built a dream residence out of metal art, in a design inspired by mining structures in Colorado and California. Then, visit Portland, Oregon, where it seems you've stumbled onto an enormous wind instrument, discarded in the woods by a mythical giant. It's a home that curves sensously from its roof to its pillars to its base, with each of its wood panels and beams were meticulously cut and placed with precision.
