Spiced Chai Tea Recipe
Warm your guests as the nights get cooler with a kettle of homemade chai tea. Spicy, sweet and creamy, this yummy drink can be enjoyed with or without an extra kick of bourbon.

Serves 4
Ingredients
2 cups milk
2 cups water
1 tablespoon black tea
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
6 whole cloves
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
3 peppercorns
1 cinnamon stick
2 star anise
4 ounces bourbon (optional)
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off heat. Cover. Let steep for 5 minutes. Strain tea through a fine sieve.
Serve in a heavy teapot to keep warm throughout your party. Serve with a sprinkling of cinnamon and an ounce of bourbon per mug, if desired.
