• Packaged brownie mix of choice
• 1 tablespoon red wine
Prepare brownie mix according to box directions. Add 1 tablespoon red wine to the mix. Bake as directed.
Red Wine Sauce Ingredients:
• 4 tablespoons butter
• 3 ounces dark or bittersweet chocolate, chopped
• 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar if using dark chocolate, (2 tablespoons if using bittersweet chocolate)
• 3 tablespoons red wine
Melt butter over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and add chocolate, sugar and wine. Stir over low heat until mixture is smooth (don't let it boil). Pour hot wine mixture over the fresh-from-the-oven pan of brownies and let stand for an hour or so, until glaze has set.
