Creating Whimsical Paper Lanterns

Materials and Tools:

rice paper ball-shaped lantern
lighting kit
found branches or store-bought branches
white spray paint
zip ties
U-tacks (cable cord tacks)
hammer

Steps:

1. Assemble a rice paper lantern from an inexpensive kit. Feed the light kit into the rice ball.

2. Spray paint branches white.

3. Feed the branches through the center of the rice ball and around the sides. Secure them at the top using zip ties.

4. Attach the light to the ceiling using U-tacks so you don't nail through the lighting cord.
