Add ribbon to the top of an empty raisin box, and then fold the bottom flaps in. Glue a pompom halfway into the box and a piece of satin cording for the tail. The Mouse House
Materials and Tools:
base trim
decorative trim
jigsaw
1 x 1 lumber
wood glue
Masonite
paint
finish nails
hammer
Steps:
1. Cut the trim and two strips of 1 x 1 to the same desired length. Glue a 1 x 1 strip to the bottom of the base piece to make it wider and clamp it together. Once dry, draw the rounded arch for the opening onto the trim piece and cut it out using a jigsaw.
2. Use glue and finish nails to attach a piece of decorative trim to the back of the base along with one more strip of 1 x 1 to build the baseboard out so it will sit away from the wall.
3. Cut a small piece of Masonite larger than the opening and paint a mouse house scene. Let dry.
4. Paint or stain the baseboard piece as desired and let dry.
