About the Gathering Room:
Fall foliage, at its peak of beauty in early October, served as inspiration for the room's color palette. During the fall, furnishings connect the home to outdoor spaces, says interior designer Linda Woodrum, while during the winter months, the room provides a warm, cozy and welcoming respite from snowy weather. Durability factored heavily into the design of the space. "Furnishings have to look great," says Linda, "but they have to be relaxed, comfortable and extremely accepting of people who live here."
