About the Car Barn:
Extending the home's architectural style, the car barn appears, at first glance from the exterior, to offer additional living space. Although a loft does not presently exist, an upper level with staircase would prove an easy addition, says builder Brendan O'Reilly, who clad the interior space with pine siding and structural hemlock beams. Six-arm chandeliers and recessed lighting dress the hardworking space, which could easily house a workbench and provide additional storage space. "The car barn reminds me of a vaulted formal square dance space," says builder Brendan O'Reilly. "It's really a space to be enjoyed."
