The vintage-style sleeping space from HGTV Dream Home 2009 is chockablock with cool toys and childhood treasures.
A devoted reading cove, which overlooks the flowering front yard, is furnished with a plaid club chair, a faux bois table topped with reading books and candies and an aged-iron reading lamp. Strings of red beads serve as curtain tie backs, and Kim used her creativity to decorate the adjacent wall space. "I created license-plate bulletin boards, and they were both simple and inexpensive," she explains. "I purchased cork squares at the office supply ($10 for four), and trimmed them to fit the license-plate rims ($4 each)."
