Materials Needed:
- measuring tape
- electric jigsaw
- circular saw
- sanding block or electric hand sander
- 80-grit sandpaper
- 1 - 4' x 8' sheet of smooth, paint-grade plywood
- pencil
- sheet of paper
- paintbrush
- 1 gallon of water-based primer
- 1 gallon of semi-gloss, latex paint
- nail gun
- small nails
- level
- protective eyewear
- ventilation mask
Choose a Console Table
Any console table with extra long legs that can be painted will do.
Measure for Shelves
Using a measuring tape, determine the distances between all four of the table's legs and write them down on a sheet of paper.
Draw Lines
To create the first shelf, draw four lines, in the shape of a rectangle, that equal the length of the measurements in the previous step onto a sheet of smooth, paint-grade plywood.
