Create a Buffet With Basket Storage

Materials Needed:

• measuring tape
• electric jigsaw
• circular saw
• sanding block or electric hand sander
• 80-grit sandpaper
• 1 - 4' x 8' sheet of smooth, paint-grade plywood
• pencil
• sheet of paper

• paintbrush
• 1 gallon of water-based primer
• 1 gallon of semi-gloss, latex paint
• nail gun
• small nails
• level
• protective eyewear
• ventilation mask

Choose a Console Table

Any console table with extra long legs that can be painted will do.

Measure for Shelves

Using a measuring tape, determine the distances between all four of the table's legs and write them down on a sheet of paper.

Draw Lines

To create the first shelf, draw four lines, in the shape of a rectangle, that equal the length of the measurements in the previous step onto a sheet of smooth, paint-grade plywood.
