Aubergine flocked damask wall covering provided the color inspiration for this sumptuous sitting area on a luxury estate. A velvet violet sofa with embroidered pillow and faux fur throw were paired with an upholstered ottoman and antique hand-carved, button-tufted, high-backed chair. A carved gilded mirror, mica-shaded wall sconce, authentic zebra rug and silk draperies embellished by two layers of trim complete this incredible space. Photography by Karen Melvin.
