Designer's Notes

This family room was designed to provide a playful, yet elegant space for an active family. A pair of enameled hand-carved Peruvian armoires flanks a simple stone fireplace mantel and complements the brown tones found in the animal print on the upholstered ottoman and ebony stain of the three tier side tables. A tufted sofa was upholstered in linen damask and accentuated by raised velvet pillows with a playful fuchsia trim that matches the flocked silk custom draperies tied on hand-forged iron medallions. Enameled beamed ceilings, green grasscloth wall covering, faux crocodile upholstered side chairs, button-tufted ottomans and palm artwork complete this dynamic space.
