The red velvet fabric with gold accents is grounded by a black and gold rug in this opulent living room in a Manhattan townhouse. The home was built in 1895 and had grand "bones" that the owner wanted to maximize. The floor-to-ceiling velvet drapes accentuate the 12-foot ceilings.
